‘Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay’ accused of plagiarising Korean drama’s OST. The newly started drama ‘Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay’ has been accused of plagiarism.
It was the Galaxy Lollywood that first discovered the similarities between the background music used in the Korean drama ‘Beyond Evil’ and ‘Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay’. The background music used in both dramas was not inspired but copied, the article maintained.
The exact music score starts at 1:25 seconds of this track. It was released early this year. The tune can be heard during the episodes of the drama and in the promos.
The page mistakenly held Azaan Sami Khan the mastermind behind the drama’s OST music. However, it was revealed that after thorough research that the background music of ‘Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay’ is led by Ahmed Jehanzeb.
Plagiarism has become quite a trend in Pakistan, sometimes designers are copying each other’s designs, or sometimes projects are copied in the name of inspiration. Similarly, a few days ago, the directional debut of actor Sheheryar Munawar’ Prince Charming’ was accused of plagiarism.
As per the page ‘Instant Lollywood‘, the music of the 12-minute telefilm was plagiarised, whether the background has been inspired or copied, but it has definitely the exact same chorus of an old song called ‘In The Mood For Love’ by Shigeru Umebayashi.
